Beth and Kyle’s wedding day flowed through Pittsburgh’s North Shore, starting at The Landing Hotel and ending with a celebration at the National Aviary. The locations worked together seamlessly, keeping the day centralized and easy for both the couple and their guests.
The morning began at The Landing Hotel, just steps from the river and Rivers Casino. While Beth and her bridesmaids got ready upstairs, Kyle and his groomsmen leaned into a shared interest that quietly shaped their look for the day — Peaky Blinders. Their style reflected that influence through tailored suits, darker tones, and a more classic, structured feel. It wasn’t a costume or a theme — just a personal detail that made the day feel more like them.
From there, the focus shifted to the National Aviary. The venue offers something different from a traditional ballroom or outdoor space — greenery, natural light, and an atmosphere that feels immersive without being distracting. It created a setting that felt intimate while still distinctly Pittsburgh.
The ceremony brought guests together in a space that encouraged attention and presence. The surroundings added character, but the emphasis stayed where it belonged — on Beth and Kyle and the moment they were sharing.
Portraits throughout the Aviary made use of the gardens, walkways, and architectural elements across the property. The variety allowed portraits to move efficiently without pulling the couple away from their guests for long stretches of time.
As the evening continued, the celebration unfolded naturally. Guests moved comfortably through the space, conversations flowed easily, and the night felt social and relaxed. The Aviary’s layout supported that rhythm, allowing the reception to feel connected rather than segmented.
Beth and Kyle’s wedding was a great example of how thoughtful location choices — paired with personal details — can create a day that feels cohesive and true to the couple. We were glad to capture their North Shore wedding and document it as it happened.
