A perfect mix of architecture, nature, and candid love.
There’s something timeless about the Carnegie Museum Columns in Oakland — the soft limestone, grand staircases, and golden hour light that filters through the trees. It was the perfect backdrop for Vanessa and Brandon’s engagement session.
They brought along their dog, Marvel, who immediately stole the show (as all good pups should). Whether posing perfectly or stealing kisses mid-photo, Marvel added the kind of charm and personality that made this session unforgettable.
We explored the surrounding areas — tree-lined sidewalks, tucked-away courtyards, and those iconic Pittsburgh backdrops that give this part of the city its character. Vanessa and Brandon were effortlessly sweet together, and their comfort in front of the camera made capturing their connection easy.
If you're dreaming of an engagement session that combines classic architecture, soft natural light, and space to include your dog, the Carnegie Columns in Oakland is one of my favorite spots to recommend.
Whether you're planning a wedding in Pittsburgh or just want timeless engagement photos, I'm always here to help bring your vision to life — and yes, pets are always welcome.
