There’s just something about downtown Pittsburgh — the way the city glows during golden hour, the sharp reflections off PPG Place, and the views from the Rachel Carson Bridge. Olivia and Lauren’s engagement session captured all of that and more. We started at the bridge, where the soft yellow tones contrasted beautifully with their outfits. The skyline made the perfect backdrop as they laughed, hugged, and soaked in the moment together. Olivia and Lauren showed up looking effortlessly cool — coordinated but not overly matching, and totally at ease with each other. The moment we stepped onto the bridge, it was clear this session would be something special. The way they laughed, leaned into each other, and naturally moved through every moment made my job easy.


We spent time walking the full span of the bridge, pausing for the views of the river and skyline in both directions. At one point, a light breeze picked up and created the perfect windswept moment as they held hands mid-step. Those kinds of in-between shots always end up being the favorites — natural, real, and completely them.


What I love about this location is how much variety it offers without needing to go far. From wide shots with the city behind them to close, quiet moments framed by those iconic golden beams, every frame felt fresh. Olivia and Lauren were up for anything, and it showed in the way their personalities and connection came through so clearly in the images.

After we wrapped at the bridge, we headed into downtown for a completely different vibe — more polished and architectural with the reflective glass of PPG Place (scroll down to see that part of their session!).

Next, we wandered into PPG Place, where the glassy surfaces turned their session into something out of a dream. The symmetry, the light, and their natural chemistry made every frame pop. What I loved most about this session was how Olivia and Lauren fully embraced the energy of the city — bold, vibrant, and full of love.


Whether twirling in front of towering glass buildings or sharing a quiet moment on the bridge, their connection was undeniable.

Downtown Pittsburgh never disappoints, and when you pair its energy with a couple like this? Magic.
